Pretty easy for me because I hardly ever wore it anyway.

I grew up with my mum only wearing makeup to weddings and funerals, so I guess I never wanted to wear it to immitate her like most little girls seem to do.

I wear it for parties, going out clubbing, weddings, some job interviews. I lost the habit of wearing it at work as soon as I passed my probation.

It’s just such an effort putting it on and taking it off, and it feels icky and clogs up your skin, that the paranoias about your appearance aren’t powerful enough to make you wear it all the time.

It’s worth it just for the extra 10 minutes sleep in the morning! :) I rarely wear makeup to college, but I’ll wear it if I’m going out to dinner or something. I finally realised how stupid it was to always be worried about how you look when a guy asked me once if the reason why I didn’t want to stay the night at his house was because I didn’t want him to see me without makeup in the morning! (that wasn’t the reason, I just didn’t want to… but it made me sad that some women might do that) So yeah, I’ve done this one! Woohoo! :)

Still wear it, but I don't HAVE to... 4 years ago

For a long time I thought I’d never leave the house for longer than it took to go to the curb with the garbage without at least foundation and mascara. The exception was when I was hiking, camping or backpacking, or doing other outdoorsy things. Then I realized that all my guy friends who hiked and camped with me thought I was just as pretty on camping trips as I was at home, and if they, who know me so well, don’t think I look worse without makeup, who else will care? I think many women are too hard on themselves when they look in the mirror! People usually see you for who you are (at least your friends do!) and if they don’t, who cares, it’s their problem.
