serve in the peace corps

I’m the rebel in the family. I come from a long line of family members who served in the Armed Forces and fought for their country. I’ve always wanted to do the same, but I also wanted to do so on a global scale. I want to develop “underdeveloped” countries. I want to tutor children in English and math. Even though there’s no uniform or boot camp involved, I want to have “the toughest job you’ll ever love” and I know my family would still be proud.

Ideally South/Central America or Francophone Africa, but I’d be thrilled to do it anywhere.

Okay, it’s obvious I won’t actually be able to SERVE in the Peace Corps by next month, but there’s no reason I can’t at least complete my application by next month. And if I don’t, I should at least try to do some good here at home.

if I want to do this. I need to be much more convinced that this organization actually does good things for people and for the world.

worth it

The peace corps is an increddible program, I just wish it could make a sizable impact on third world countries

and probably in Africa
