read everything I have by Edgar Allan Poe

And I rather enjoyed it.

Of course, I haven’t read everything by him, but it was still a nice foray into his works, if that’s the right word.

Well, I’ve finished the book of poetry, but aside from a couple of short stories, I’ve hardly touched the other book. There has been a lot of reading assigned for my history class, so that’s what I’ve been focusing on. I suppose I’ll read the rest of it at some point, though it may take a while…

I’m halfway through the poetry book (despite not being the world’s greatest appreciator of poetry, I find that I rather like some of these)and have skipped ahead and read a few towards the back.

It’s quite small, so I carry it with me and read a poem while riding in the car, waiting for class to start, or otherwise loitering.

However, I’ve discovered that every time I open the book of short stories, I find myself rereading The Masque of the Red Death. XD

I’ve got a little paper-back book with some of his short stories, and another with a selection of his poems, and I’m partially through both. I really like some of what I’ve read, but some of it is a bit difficult for me to get into.

Poetry baffles me for the most part; I usually have to read through a poem several times before I can really appreciate it. I have never read very much poetry, but maybe I should…

Anyways, this is probably far from everything he wrote, but it will be enough for me to start with.
