helped me out tremendously. She paid off 2 of my credit cards for me when she found out that I was paying $90 a month on one, and $86 of that was for finance charges. At the rate I was going, I calculated it would take me 48 years to pay it off. The other one was much smaller but still had a high interest rate. I still have a Wal-Mart card and a low-limit credit card that carry balances. I closed the super high interest account and kept the other smaller one just in case (but I really REALLY don’t ever want to have to use it).

Well right now this seems like something that will take forever because as I make a budget with my new salary and new rent I see that I will have literally less than $20 per week free. This includes making the minimum payments on my credit cards but that’s it. I guess better that than nothing. If it wasn’t for those student loan payments! Grr! With all my credit cards maxed I have $6300. I need to figure out which ones I should pay down first according to highest interest rate and then work on that with my extra money. OR, would it be smarter to save my extra money first to have a savings cushion (just in case) and THEN start paying extra on the cards if I can? I should mention that I do have a one year contract (with high probability of resigning a contract for at least another year) so I do have job security for a while.
I’m taking advice if you have some :)

This week, I paid off a $700 credit card and today I just paid my tuition. Things are looking good! 2 more large credit cards to go.

I have a lot of debt to pay off. The first step is figuring out how much exactly I have and then see how much I have available to pay stuff off with. I haven’t spend any time doing this, but I will in the near future.

I had everything paid off and then I got a used car. Now I only have about a thousand on it. I can have that paid off by next month. Then I’ll have school expenses.

1/2 is work items (replacement UPS batteries, new phones etc…)
1/2 is for work, but I own.
Humm… this is not pleasing to me.
At least I will be reimbursed for the big stuff.

I attempted to pay off the card, and there is no automatic way to do it. I did finally get a hold of an actual person, and she was very helpful. There is no option of paying off a balance completely through the automated system.
The other card I wish to pay off, I can’t- at least until their computers are back up and running.
I want to do this tonight!

I have wanted a chair for nearly 3 years. I couldn’t justify paying for it- way to expensive. During an annual sale it dropped to a price that I could justify. It’s really a nice looking stool, very portable and it folds flat. It also holds my weight with out feeling like it is going to break.
I am only getting paid for 5 days of work this month, so I will have to wait until next month to pat of the last bit. From then on, only my monthly bills will be put on that card. That, and tuition- until my student loan check comes in. (If I am approved.)
My debit is to be paid off by February 28th, 2007.
Metric: A zero balance! -Or under $20.00 bucks U.S.
Long term goal: Keep my debits in hand and keep building my credit responsibly.

I have no savings left. I don’t know if I will be able to pay my rent on time next month, but I paid off 2/3rds of my credit card debit. I might be able to get it paid off in a month, if I really work at it. I also paid what I owed Uncle Sam. I don’t think I have ever paid my taxes as quickly as I did this year.
Woot!
