Sassy2007Looks like the new moon helped!!!

The baby was born under a new moon! Who would have guessed it?! I’m so happy that the baby was born in the early part of the month rather than the later part as it was starting to get uncomfortable… I was getting so big! 5 years ago

Sassy2007Will the new moon help?

I’ve been hearing that the new moon helps to bring on labour… hmm, there is a new moon on January 8th. Will this be the birthday? 5 years ago

Sassy2007Getting closer to the birthday!

According to the first due date today is: 38 weeks and 2 days
According to the second due date today is: 35 weeks and 1 day

Baby is definately getting bigger! I don’t know if my stomach can stretch any more! LOL.

It’s starting to get tiring to walk.

Predictions for a new moon on December 24th (today) and January 8th is the full moon. Should be interesting to see what happens. 5 years ago

Sassy2007Old countdown is less than 1 month to go

Yeah, but in the back of my mind I still have the new countdown too… although I’m not closely counting the days until the first countdown is done. 5 years ago

Sassy200757 days to go!

Not much longer… I still think that baby will arrive before the second EDD. 5 years ago

Sassy200759 days to go!

Whoo hoo! I can see the time going faster. I’m making lists of things to do, and it’s helping to pass the time. 5 years ago

Sassy20078 weeks!

Ok, now if I write 8 weeks it doesn’t seem so bad, but it I put 60 days or 2 months then it seems like a really long time to go.

I have exactly 2 months to go from today to my “new” due date. In two weeks, from today, I will go back to my doctor for a follow-up appointment. I suppose that I will be seeing my doctor every two weeks from now on, which will help to break up the time.

When I was working the time went by so much faster. I worked long hours, over several days continuously so the time flew back remarkably fast! Now I’m not working, and the time seems to go much slower, and I feel more tired too. I’m still in the process of unpacking from a big move so that helps to fill in the time, but there’s only so much that I’m physically able to unpack. I’m going to start working on my knitting, and sewing projects too so that will help to make the time go faster.

I guess that once the baby arrives, I’ll be wishing that I had more ‘unscheduled’ time to myself… so I’d better not wish it away.

Last Friday, I went on a date with my husband to have dinner. I was thinking that I should go out for dinner a few times in the meanwhile before baby comes, because we probably won’t get a chance to go especially given that it’s now winter, and will also be too cold/ cumbersome to take baby out much. 5 years ago

Sassy2007yeah, yeah, yeah... count down is now increased to 2 months!

Bleh! ;-p

I just got back from an appointment with my doctor, and she confirmed that the new date is now on the books! :-( which now means a longer wait for baby!!!!!

I thought that I had about a month to go, but it looks like it’s more like 2 months according to my doctor! The ultrasound confirms it too… although I don’t put a lot of faith in the ultrasound as I think that the dates are out, but in any case, I’ve finally decided to revise my countdown to the maximum possible amount of time so that I can get this new timeframe in my head.

It took a lot of convincing to revise the countdown as I was totally confident that the first due date that I had was correct, but based on the measurements it looks like the later one is probably more realistic.

Just becuase I have to add another 3 weeks to the countdown doesn’t mean that the baby is going to wait until that time: who knows, maybe the baby will come some time between the new and old dates.

At first, when I learned of the “new” due date I was really surprised, and shocked, then I was very annoyed and mad, but now I’m accepting it, because there’s no definate way of predicting the due date as baby will come when baby wants to. I just want baby to be healthy.

It’s just hard when you have a certain timeframe in mind, and then it gets extended—when you’re so excited about baby coming, and then having to wait even more, plus getting bigger, and bigger is not fun. I feel like a hybrid of an elephant and an whale! LOL.

At least I’ve only gone up a pound in the month since my last doctor’s appointment which makes the day a little bit better.

I’m also happy that the countdown clock is back, and working properly—even if it’s the old countdown, at least it’s something to look forward to…..

Now back to counting days, weeks, and eeek months! 5 years ago

Sassy2007Less than 2 months to go and I'm SOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

I’m getting so excited! Only a matter of days now until the little person arrives!

Now that I’m finally moved into my home I can start to relax a little. It was a stressful week getting things packed up to move, but the stuff arrived a couple of days ago, and my plan is to unpack a couple of boxes each day. I’ll just take my time, and I don’t care if there are boxes everywhere!

Opening a few boxes each day will help to pass the time too. So far I’ve started unpacking the kitchen things, as I figure that I’ll probably need that stuff right away.

Baby is moving more these days too. I thought that it would hurt a lot when the baby kicks or moves, but so far it’s not too bad. I haven’t had to take any tylenol, advil or anything else for pain for this pregnancy so far. The only discomfort was the morning sickness, aversion to certain foods/ smells, and the heat in the summer. I’m getting a few stretch marks on my tummy, but it’s only on one side, and around my belly button. The stretch mark around my belly button looks like a kiss mark so I say that it’s a kiss from the baby! LOL. Hopefully this is all I’ll get for stretch marks! Keeping my fingers crossed on this one! :-)

I still need to buy some things to get ready for baby, but right now I’m going to try to get the house in order, establish a routine, and get my paperwork in order. There will be plenty of things to keep me busy in the meantime. 5 years ago

Sassy2007Two months to go!

The time is going by relatively quickly, however, it still feels like it’s a long time to wait… 60 days or 2 months isn’t a lot of time, and I still need the time to get things organized before baby arrives so I guess it’s good that there’s still some time.

The doctor told me that my “NEW” due date is now going to add another 3 weeks to my countdown. GRRR. Just when I thought that I was getting closer… LOL.

I still think that the “original” due date is the correct one, but I’ll just have to wait, and find out. 5 years ago

Sassy2007Two months and 2 weeks!

Wow! Only 2 months and 2 weeks to go! 5 years ago

Sassy2007Bought a few things for baby

Went to a second-hand clothing sale at a local community centre, and bought a few things for baby. It was a little bit challenging to find things as there weren’t many gender neutral clothes, but I managed to find some clothes. I saved a lot of money on clothes at this sale!

Wow! I can’t believe how fast the time is going. Only a matter of days….

Baby is getting stronger, and the kicks/movements are more frequent. 5 years ago

Sassy2007Starting to think of names

Still need to think of names. I bought some clothes for the baby, but since I don’t know if I’m having a boy or a girl it’s been challenging finding unisex clothes/ colours as most things are either pink or blue.

Part of me really wants to know if baby is a girl or a boy, but then I’ve waited this long so why not continue to wait until the birthday!

It’s getting uncomfortable to sleep at night, and when I get up from sitting I really notice the extra tummy weight, but it really brings a smile to my face when I feel baby moving so I don’t mind the sleepless nights. It makes me more excited to meet this little person. 5 years ago

Sassy2007Whoo hoo! Under 100 days now!

Baby has started to move more frequently. It seems like baby likes to move on Fridays and Saturdays… maybe it’s time to party! LOL.

Another thing that I’ve noticed is that baby can ‘hear’ music. Whenever I’m listening to Bob Marley or Jack Johnson the baby seems to start squirming. I’m going to see if this continues. 5 years ago

Sassy2007Wow! ONLY 103 days to go???? Where did the time go?

Wow! I can’t believe that there are only 103 days (give or take) left to go!!!!!

I really need to start getting things organized!! Baby will be here before I know it! :-) 5 years ago

Sassy2007Time is counting down until baby arrives!

It seems like a long way to go, but I guess that I’m nearly half-way. It’s a good thing that I still have time, because there are a lot of things that I need to plan, and get organized before the baby arrives. 5 years ago

Sassy2007There are 132 days until baby arrives

I’m going to count down the days… 5 years ago
