to go through, the miscellaneous photo supplies. I can’t miss it, it’s next to my desk. It’ll be done before the new year. I’m going to call this finished.

Went through the clothes, culled, and took a big load to the consignment store. Put the others away in the box to be either held for Bumble or ebayed. Also changed my ebay name to reflect my clothing selling plans.
Went through the chum’s many toys – boxed some up for future generations, some for selling, and some for suprise revisiting later.
Am done with this goal for now. It is the solstice. Fall is over. No doubt Spring cleaning will come and many of these will be revisited.

It’s pretty much not fall anymore.
I’m going to do one last project off the list (probably the chum’s toys) and then call it done. And then I’ll keep the list for when the poor husband gets roped into some Spring cleaning related goal madness.
Anyway, if I can keep the spaces we’ve done in some relatively good shape (and they are!) then it’s all progress.

the high chair and the potty seat. Hurrah!

Did the hall closet today. More tidying than purging – though a few things went out and there is still shelf space to be filled when I figure out what belongs there.
Got through the top of the hutch and my drawers (Argh! There’s a dumping ground!) Hope to get into the cabinet bit soon. It’s wildly miscellaneous under there and I have an idea of using it much better, but haven’t quite gotten there yet.
First, there is the miscellaneous darkroom equipment I haven’t touched in years. Won’t be doing wet work anytime soon, I really like the digital world. So, I will go through the two large boxes to identify what I can sell, or possibly donate to the local high school’s photography program.
Second, I really just need to release the fifteen years worth of Photo District News magazines. They’re big, heavy, and I’ve never re-read them. I’ve always liked hanging on to magazines, thinking someday I’d put them in the nice magazine boxes for display. And the question you should be asking, as I always do, is why? Why on Earth would I want to do that. I know one reason stems from my paternal grandmother, who had done that with fifteen or twenty years worth of National Geographic- back when I was a small, small boy.

No picture because, well, I don’t have a functional camera and GG’s is temperamental.
This took 2 time slots to get through as GG has been busy and it’s a bit of a mess. The understair storage continues to be less than ideal. Not much was actually taken out, but I’ve gone through it, moved some stuff, put some new stuff in, and taken an early peek into the Christmas boxes which has somewhat calmed my desire to buy any new Xmas swag. Yet.
The hall closet is much better. There’s space for new stuff as we need it and we’ve reactivated discussion of how to maximize our extremely limited storage.
Anyway, much tidier now. Have purged some empty boxes and am trying to use existing containers more efficiently.
Best new thing from this – a box of all the new chum toys and so on that we have stored away for times we need something new. Now easily to hand, but not viewable by him.
Now if we’d just fix the door so it could go back on… Poor GG, his to do list is really overwhelming.

This job had been bugging me for so long – like a scab I was longing to pick.
More jars to the never-ending jar stash in the garage. And space to fill!
Hurray!

Wow! the kitchen is so screwed up. It’s hard to even start in here without unraveling everything.
The motto for the kitchen is If it doesn’t have to do with food, it doesn’t belong in the kitchen – except for Booboo Bear, of course.
It looks so much better now. Exciting and scary to contemplate doing the rest of the kitchen.

A small one today as there wasn’t that much chum free time.
Books put away, some books culled (though not a lot – we’ve really already cut to the bone here) and a few art objets released.
Picture of one of the sets of bookshelves for your pleasure.
