Heidi is trying to get her life back on track

    Rescheduled! 4 months ago

Thank goodness. My teacher rescheduled our field trip for tomorrow. I was afraid we wouldn’t get to go. The only problem now is that we have to walk to the university from my high school, and now there is like 6 inches of snow and very cold. It’s not far though. I can bundle up!

That didn't work out so great 4 months ago

Today my AP Literature class was supposed to go on a field trip to our the university close to us and see The Two Gentlemen of Verona. Of course we would have a snow day today. It hasn’t snowed this much the entire winter, but now we get pelted. It makes me kind of angry. But, for extra credit we can go to a showing of King Richard the Third at another theater. I might go to that if I can find someone to go with.

In five months time I'll be able to say I've done this! 14 months ago

Have tickets to see Loves Labours Lost at Stratford-Upon-Avon in October. Equally fantastic is the fact that the simply devine David Tennant will be performing. Would have loved to see him with Patrick Stewart doing Hamlet over the summer, but alas it was not meant to be. Am stupidly excitied about going. Must remember, I am a grown up and should be completely cool about such things. Yay!!!

Went on a school trip in year 8 to Richmond theatre (West London) to see Twelfth Night, ‘twas fantastic!

I saw The Tempest 22 months ago

It actually wasn’t my favorite Shakespeare play I’ve seen, but it was good. There were a lot of lines that the actors spoke so quickly in a poetic style that I couldn’t understand everything. Regardless, the play was still entertaining.

When I was in high school, struggling with Shakespeare for the HSC, our English teacher (affectionately known as “Mr Hen”), made us promise that we would one day go and see Shakespeare performed live, before writing it off and deciding we hated it.

I’ve often thought about it, but never done anything about it.

I just discovered though that King Lear (which was by far my favourite), is playing at Parramatta’s Riverside Theatres in July this year.

I have decided that I would like to go.
Would anyone like to join me?

To see, or not to see... 2 years ago

I finally got to see Actors From The London Stage perform Hamlet last month! It was such a great performance, and i’d LOVE to see it again :) If they come to a theatre near you, i suggest you go see them!

The most memorable 3 years ago

Of all I’ve seen, the most memorable was a Royal Shakespeare Company production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Stratford Upon Avon starring Pete Postlethwaite as Bottom. Outstanding.
