Reading used to be my favorite thing, but since I got married I can never find time for it anymore! I gotta change that and start reading again. It always gives me good ideas about life, and the more I read the better I understand the world around me.

Water for Elephants and Persepolis 17 months ago

Water for Elephants was good…but not the heart wrenching great novel that the New York Times reviewed it as, but I still enjoyed it. Persepolis I read all in one day and loved it. I can’t wait to get to the library for the next one in the series!

Wow! I forgot about my goals. 18 months ago

I forgot all about the goals I set, especially this one. I have been consumed with reading for school…maybe that counts? My gender and humanities had me read all sorts of interesting books: Jane Eyre (My new favorite), The Vagina Monologues, Ways of Seeing, Butch as a Noun, and Tender Hooks. Not to mention all of the poems and things I read for English. I might not feel as bad..but on my way back to this goal.

Rhymes with Emily its been a long couple months but I'm back!

Turns out that school makes this hard and part of Goal #1 is to not make unnecessary and unattainable goals for myself.

I read the final four of the ten books i bought for this goal they were supposed to have last till the end of the year at least! i have read the inheritance of loss, a scientific romance, fragile things (most bizzare but i liked it) and my name is red – which was an adventure into a whole new world! I enjoyed this but have to go buy new books now any recommendations?

Way Ahead 1 year ago

i have read the book thief – tear jerking, i have read the kite runner (finally after so long) painful but hopeful, i have read black swan green – lovely, and love in the time of cholera which is just so rich in characters and images i was lost but happy. I am thrilled to be able to catch up and read what i have been postponing for so long. next book RED.
