I had read about this place online and finally took the time to check it out. I liked the paths. The deer are very use to people because when they saw me they just continued to eat.

I was coming home from Sears today and stopped by a JR Wright Nursey that I had not shopped at before.

And, to finish the list, we’re off to the local Emissions testing place as soon as the boys are dressed. Not terribly exciting, I admit, but the loving Mister has put off getting his emissions done until TODAY when they’re due on Monday.

    Love him dearly. I do.

    Almost there! Woo-hoo!

The place is called “All Day Music” and it’s a wonderful (and inexpensive) shop! Lotsa’ vinyl records, a few indie and other nonsensical CDs, incense, some posters and shirts, and a baby boomer hanging out behind the counter with his dog.

I hung out and we discussed music and this and that while listening to Jimmy Buffet and enjoyed the sunshine.

I’m so going to be going back there. At least every payday.

    The Odeon 16 months ago

    6. The Odeon – kind of like a fancy diner in Tribeca that was the hot trendy place in the 80’s. The food was pretty good but pricey for lunch. I think it was a big deal bc celebrities hung out there? Who knows. Anyway, it was good.

    5. Coney Island. Believe it or not, I had never gone there before. I went before the summer rush started, and did all the touristy things – got food from Nathan’s Hotdogs, rode the Cyclone, etc. :)

I did this last year, and in NYC, I could probably do this every year for the rest of my life.

    Here we go, for 2008..
    1. The Bronx Botanical Gardens – Really beautiful :) Definitely worth visiting..
    2. Park Slope/Prospect Park – Went for a nice afternoon in the park, which is absolutely gorgeous & then to Bar Toto for some really good food and beer. Have been back to Bar Toto again since the first time, thats how good their food is!
    3. McSorley’s Old Ale House – Located on the Lower East Side, the oldest pub in NYC which dates back to 1854. They only serve two kinds of beer – dark or light.
    4. Pommes Frites – Also on the Lower East Side (2nd Ave), this place sells pretty much authentic Belgium Fries. Meaning – a cone of french fries loaded with any toppings you can think of. Its pretty bad for you but delicious & kinda nice to get while drunk on your way home from the bar.

A cute little out of the way pet store that specializes in snakes & lizards…or maybe that’s just all they had out. Anyway, not a bad find.
