Got a text from my husband this afternoon! His boss handed him a thing for health insurance! Hopefully this will be crossed off by the end of the week!

So, my letter of rejection arrived from the insurance company, and it states that I have been turned down because I am in therapy for depression.

All I can say is, we are in a cooky, mucked up, backwards world sometimes. Thank goodness I don’t have to live my daily life based on actuarial tables; being able to walk away from this struggle for a day or two is a gift. I’ll take this up again, and reapply. Maybe I can appeal their decision.

I was denied! I have to wait for the letter they send, detailing why I was not approved for coverage. Then, hopefully I can figure out what plan I could be approved for coverage, and I’ll apply for that one. What a hassle! What a disappointment, too.

What’s life without a little disappointment, though? I will reapply.

I think they’re done asking me questions and will either approve or deny my application soon. Here’s hoping it’s the former of those two!

I hope I get the plan I just applied for. It won’t get me to the doctor more often, but it will protect us from ridiculously high medical bills in the event of catastrophy.

One disappointment: I cannot get an HSA this year. That stinks. There’s something big here that needs to change. It’s coming.

Oh boy, I have GOT to do this.

So I can get my teeth fixed so I can smile more – having half a tooth is not a way to land a job or a boyfriend or make people feel comfortable around you.

Not being able to go to the doctor kind of sucks…

I get insurance with my new(ish) job. Boo-yah!
