Embarrasment

I am afraid of playing co-ed sports and looking stupid. I’ve always been strong and athletic but not always coordinated and experienced when it comes to sports. I want to stop missing out on fun times.

Scary Movies

I have been doing SO good on this! I’ve realized what kills me is the suspense, so if I look away until the startling moment it’s really not that scary! :P
So far I’ve seen:
-Silence of the Lambs & Hannibal
-The People Under the Stairs (scared me when i was little)
-The Village (not that scary)
-The Cell (with J-Lo) ..surprisingly scary!
-The Happening (not scary at all)

I’m really trying to work on this. By confronting my fears I will be a more happy individual, a better friend, and better employee. Ignoring issues or people does not make them go away. Stop avoiding people!
It’s especially hard for me to say ‘no’ to people in fear of hurting their feelings. However, I think that although people may not like to hear ‘no’, they’ll appreciate my upfront answer more than the evasive one.
I have a few people I need to call… (deep breath)

I find that confronting my fears as they come up and doing things to spite them is very constructive. Fear of rejection, fear of ridicule, fear of failure—they are all irrational and wrong. Confront them. Do what you want. Succeed.
