with great results. My goal was to lose 10 pound. Have lost 4.4 pound so almost halfway there.



2 weeks now 5 months ago

and doing this relatively easy, am using Livestrong, a great site for counting calories and more. Finding it easier to do it on there than other sites I’ve tried. I was hungry for the first week but started allowing myself an extra 15o cals and this has helped and has seemed to fire my metabolism. Am doing well, with this and the exercise I’ve been doing I have lost 4.1 pound in 2 weeks :)

Have been counting calories for around 5 days and have lost a couple of pound already. Feeling so much more energised and looking a lot more toned. Have been working out as well during this time. Seems to be working for me :)

I used to be SUPER good at this 2 years ago, but somehow I let myself go :-(

But lately I’ve been doing really good and really watching what I eat, which has helped TONS, I’ve replaced some things for healthier ones, and well, so far, so good… Hope I can keep it up foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :-P

So, I did this for over two weeks and it was so worth it. I’m much more aware of what and how much I am eating now. Since I start my MC tomorrow… I won’t have any food to list for at least 10 days. So, I consider this goal accomplished!

Just realized I should probably figure out my fat intake for a couple days too just to make sure I’m not counting calories for nothing…

06.02.08- Ugh… 52.5g (more than half came from the 1/4 cup of walnuts I ate so at least it was good fat)
05.30.08- 29g, much more acceptable since most came from the walnuts and the rest came from the guacosalsa.
05.29.08- 18.5g

Okay, I’m seeing a pattern. My eating habits have gone down the drain since Friday. I’m back on track though. I’ve got this!

Ugh… I went over. I ate a total of 1451 yesterday. I think because I ate such CRAP food over the weekend I was just extra hungry yesterday. I’m going to try to get it back under control today.

On the plus side, everything I ate yesterday was healthy and raw!

Medium banana- 105c.
Kashi bar- 120 c.
1 cup of cucumber salad- 50c.
6 baby carrots- 15c.
1 Tbl. guacosalsa- 15c.
1/4 c. walnuts- 150c.
1 apple- 80c.
Craisin mix- 140c.
Kashi bar- 120c.

That’s a total of 795 calories but I also had Benihana, so I’m sure I went over my goal for the day. I didn’t keep track on Saturday or Sunday (shame on me). But, i ate reasonable amounts. I gained a pound over the weekend, I’m hoping it will be gone by tomorrow!

1 cup of watermelon- 45c.
1 apple- 80c.
12 baby carrots- 30c.
2 TBL. guacasalsa- 30c.
1 1/2 cups baby spring mix- 15c.
2 roma tomatoes- 32c.
4 mushrooms- 10c.
1/8 cup red onion slices- 12c.
2 TBL. salad dressing- 60c.
Juice of 1/2 lemon- 0c.
1 tsp. balsamic vinegar- 10c.
3 TBL. Craisin mix- 140c.
32 oz. unsweetened sun tea- 0c.
51 oz. water- 0c.
7 strawberries- 28c.
Yogurt- 160c.
1/2 cup edamame- 120c.

That’s a whole lot of food for a grand total of 797 calories!

So far... 18 months ago

I started tracking everything I eat on Friday May 16th. The only days I didn’t track were Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tuesday because I was out of town Memorial Day Weekend.

I realized, quickly, that I was consuming a ton of calories. So now I am eating a lot more but a lot less calories. I’m eating mostly raw foods and I feel so much better!

My Goal here is about 1000 calories per day until I reach my goal weight and then I will up it to about 1200 to maintain my weight. Unless I continue to lose, then I will adjust my intake accordingly.

05.16.08- 981 calories
05.17.08- 1245 calories (this was a Saturday and I had six light beers which is where half my calories for the day came from)
05.18.08- 750 calories
05.19.08- 1053 calories
05.20.08- 753 calories
05.21.08- 862 calories
05.22.08- 945 calories
05.23.08- 740 calories
05.24.08- 05.27.08 (didn’t keep track… shame on me)
05.28.08- 875 calories

So, today is the 29th and tomorrow I will post everything I ate today and the total calorie count so that you can see I’m not starving. I’m actually quite full!
