publish cartoons in the New Yorker

and it’s a real goal that remains unmet.

Approaching it conceptually and thematically makes it like rote work and I have a hunch cartoons aren’t going to work like that. I think I’m going to try to find things funny this year and see if that lends itself to a visual interpretation.
I kind of like the idea of collaborative effort, too, but finding that will be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

The goal shall live on.
