llong is growing slowly but surely
A fascinating book.
The interplay of the characters in the book, and the author himself, is jarring in a pleasant way. The time travel as a means of escape, once one gets used to it, is tempting.
Certainly a ‘modern’ novel.

smallsmile can't believe how fast time is passing.
Overall, I liked it. I found it to be alot more intelligent and insightful then some of his other books. Though it still had Vonnegut’s zany style, it was generally more compassionate and less bitter and sarcastic.

I went to the library and they didn’t have slaughterhouse five so I got a few other vonnegut books. I’m done Cat’s Cradle which I liked alot, and I’m halfway through Breakfast of Champions which I do NOT like. I’m hoping slaughterhouse five is more like cat’s cradle. :/

of destiny and free will. My thoughts on what’s predestined in one’s life are that things are generally always in flux. That’s not to say that you won’t end up in a certain place, but it may not happen exactly how you planned it. I suppose I like to believe that we might not be able to change the “big picture” but we can edit it a bit.

on Thursday from the library. It’s a fairly quick read, so I’m thinking I’ll finish it either tomorrow or Wednesday.

This has been on my bookshelf for over a year. I finally read it this afternoon, and I was sorry when I finished.

This book was so clever in the way it mixed personal history/politics with science fiction/fantasy. It really opened people’s eyes to what happened to Dresden.
