pick a name for the baby

Our baby girl is due in June and we can not settle on a name. My wife agreed to Mallory 3 weeks ago and then people didn’t like it and it made her throw it out. Back to square 1.

I thought someday, naming my child would be fun. It’s really not unless you find stress fun. I swear, it should not be this tough. It’s taken 32 weeks, but we have a middle name. Elliott. That’s pretty much all we can agree on. If the babys last name didn’t start with an E, I’d bump Elliott up to the first name. As is, this kid is just going to be ‘Baby’ forever.

We spent several hours on it over the weekend, and I’ve basically slaughtered his lists. There are only three names left on the girls list, and six on the boys. But, you know… we only need one. :)

Ryan says he’s finished his first draft of girls’ names. Unfortunately, it has a couple hundred names on it. Now all we have to do is refine… and then make a boys’ name list. grin

I want something absolutely perfect that Ryan and I both fall in love with.

At only 11 weeks pregnant, I probably shouldn’t be stressing about this yet, but I just want it to be perfect for him or her.
