buy a new bra

I was sorting out my ‘given up’ goals, and came across this one which I completed without remembering to mark it done.

A few weeks back I was fitted again, and brought two new bras. I was fitted awhile back, but needed re-fitting. I brought an ‘everyday’ bra, and another one, for – er what are they called – ‘not everyday’? It’s more for dressing up, rather than everyday wear.

Then I tried to buy a sports bra, seeing as one of problems with completeing my ‘run every morning’ goal, is that I need a decent sports bra.

I say I tried to buy a sports bra, because I found a really good one, but they didn’t stock my size. ^sigh so I’m going to try get it from a different shop which i’ve heard stock bigger sizes. After that, all I need are some decent running shoes. I have the shoes, and brought a cool running shirt today, i’m almost all ready to start taking it seriously.

Bra’s aren’t cheap. Well, you can get cheap ones, but they don’t fit. When I buy the sports bra as well I will have been set back a good $150. I’m handwashing them so they last. :)

I have two, now. The first I bought last year, for Costa Rica (to go under my dress), and the second I purchased last weekend. Although, I’m not particularly sure where the first one is, which is not all that helpful.

Anyhoo, spent more than I intended, but it’s very comfy, and fits well. Definitely better than the simple cotton bras I’ve been wearing for the last two years… the elastic in the straps had died, so the girls were pretty much doing their own thing. (At a guess, they were probably organising some sort of protest rally about their state of neglect.)

The best feeling in the world: learning I needed to go up TWO cup sizes.

it’s black… i like…

Thought that i hate buying bra, i’ve decided to dedicate the entire morning to find out a good shop and patiently try thousands of bra, hoping at least one will fit properly. Lucky me, I’ve found it. So i’ve spent 80 euros for bras: 2 Playtex and 1 Thriumph. And now i wont think about it for a year.
