tahti is going to drive for the first time! Pray for me :o
during last month i’ve started jogging again, 3times a week on the long walk in windsor, really great place to do it and i feel much better now. every time i’m jogging i feel like i’m really alive, sometimes it makes me a bit dizzy just like under the influence of alcohol lol and the starngest thing is that you feel your blood circulate so vividly in your veins and i feel chilled out as when i used to smoke. so why smoke when u get similar (better?!) results when jogging? yes, it’s a much healthier way to keep you feel brilliant :) does anybody have the same feeling about jogging?

OMG I got this goal for over 38 weeks! but i’m improving :P
at least I’m getting slimmer :)

...but I’ve actually lost a few pounds in the last two weeks mostly due to exam-induced fasting. I study and freak out and study and freak out… and it leaves little time to eat. I currently subsist on diet Redbull, hummus and pitas, and the occasional apple. Not a bad diet, but I really should eat more.
Then, I hop onto the bike for a while to work out the tension. That works well, but I’ve converted my study CDs into mp3s and listen to them whilc I bike… but I got so wrapped up in listening the other day that I ended up on there for almost an hour. Nothing like being exhausted and monstrously sore.
I hate this… can’t wait until it’s over, so I can get my cruddy grades and move on.

Since I added this to my list I’ve actually gained weight and lost muscle tone. All right! No, wait… that’s bad.
“Slimmer” was conquered by the Chocolate Expo where I bought 18 pounds of chocolate from 5 different countries. God it was good. Why isn’t it endives that make you fat instead of chocolate? The universe is a cruel and heartless place.
“Fitter” was annihilated by the onset of winter and the hibernation instinct.
As one of my favorite quotations goes: “But that’s not an excuse. It’s a reason.”
In other words, time to move this goal up the list. Maybe higher than “Eat more chocolate.” In fact, I can probably consider that one accomplished.

...but this one seemed to suit me better. I’ll say up front that I’m not exactly overweight. Based on the various tables available, my weight is about where it ought to be (ignoring various holiday “fluctuations”). The problem is that I’m considerably squishier than I’ve been in the past. Age and a slothful lifestyle have caught up to my hummingbird metabolism with a vengance. I think I can do something about that, at least minimally.
So, I’m going to try and work off the butter. I’ll try to do more cardio and the like with the overal goal of whittling down my waist. While I’m not “fat” or grossly overweight, neither do I want to be Jiggles McFatpants, either.

I recently had lost some weight. I felt good, went down a size. Just when I had made some progress, I found out I had to have my aortic valve replaced, via open heart surgery. Everything had to stop. No exercise, no excessive walking, stairs, etc. Needless to say, with the fear and anxiety of open heart surgery and no outlet for exercise, I gained some weight. I had the surgery in April, recovery in May and June, cardiac rehab in July and August, and now I have started exercising every day. I use a treadmill, elliptical machine, stationery bike, and go to Curves. I am also trying extremely hard to eat less, and eat well. I really enjoy the exercise. The hard part is eating less and not eating some of the things I would like to .
