and then of course once one discovers one’s purpose there becomes the arduous task of actually completing it. no one ever figures out what they are ultimately meant for and find it to be something stupid like climb the eiffel tower 37 times. it’s always something stilling like die for man’s sins or become sin, to speak doubly.
in any case, i am making no provisions, because i trust and hope, that when i find that golden chalice and look into its shimmering shallows that it will be wine i must drink and not cobwebs littered with lively crawling things. it would be bad form i think to strive for something and then ask for a refund. but i think it will be within my power to do, and that is really the only thing i am sure of.
