samshki just did a stupid thing.
so the whole tarawih experience was quite a new one for me, and I had mixed feelings about it all. I couldn’t get what I wanted out of it because as per usual, my (complete lack of) Arabic skills let me down. So many times people all around me were crying at whatever was said at the recitation and I just didn’t have a clue what was being said. Also I found it difficult going alone- everyone else seemed to have gone with a relative, or knew friends there, and it left me feeling a bit isolated. InshaAllah I get married by Ramadan 2009 so I have a husband to go with!
