Get my Christmas shopping done early

not happening!

Dear God…......pleeease let me get it done early so I can enjoy 1 day before the holidays in peace! All I ask is one hour to sit and gaze at the twinkling tree without thinking of that one last present to buy.

Christmas is over for another year… good. But really i got most of my shopping done early, there was one last minute item i had to go and get, but it was something that was def. not planned. I actually started shopping in oct. But i got it all done, (with one exception) by the 2 week in dec. it was soooo nice to have it done, and it was nice not to have the stress. Super, i need to do this every year!

I mostly managed to accomplish this. ::grins:: I’m just glad all the rushing around is all over, and we’ve had a lovely time just relaxing today.

Till next year, I guess this goal is done.

I may get one or two tomorrow.

Hey, any time before Christmas eve is early for me.

I always say “never again”, but there I am every year running around at the last minute with the rest of them. I’d really like to not do that this year.

Finished up everything! Maybe next year I can get it all done by Dec. 1. Also, I’d like to start planning earlier for next year and give some hand-made gifts.

1. I’m going to consider my holiday cards sent. There are still 2 outstanding addresses but I have emailed them and its their own fault if they don’t reply.
2. All gifts for DH’s family are sent.
3. Got some stocking for my brothers but I still need to get some stuffers. This weekend!
4. Parents’ gifts are ordered. I plan to get one more thing for my mom (some sort of bath kit) to send back with the boys. This weekend!
5. Still need to get the gifts for brother #2. This weekend!

So I should be done this weekend. Exciting! Then all I have to do is remind DH that he is supposed to get me some gifts, too.

the last things i ordered just came in the mail today, so i guess that means i’m done! i still need to wrap a few things, but that’s okay. i’m so glad i won’t have to think about this at all for the rest of the month.
although now it’s very tempting to give out presents early…

My goal was previously to ‘get my Christmas shopping done by December 1,’ but it’s Dec 1 today and it’s clear I won’t quite be done today. Therefore, I am changing my goal to ‘get my Christmas shopping done early.’ Here’s my status report:

1. I finished and about half of my holiday cards last night, and the rest should be done in the next few days, depending on how soon DH finds out the current addresses for his friends.
2. I have all the gifts for DH’s family, they need to be wrapped and sent in the next few days, as soon as DH finds out whether we actually gave his sister the same gift last year. (We have a different present to give her in that case.)
3. I have all DH’s gifts but still need a few stocking stuffers for him. Depending on whether my brothers end up visiting for the holidays, I may need to get them some stuffers too. I hope they can decide soon.
4. I still need to order gifts for my parents, I’m waiting for Brother #2 to respond to a question about my Dad’s taste in music. But otherwise I know what I’m getting them.
5. I have some gifts for my brothers, but a lot depends on whether they are coming to visit. If not, I am planning to wait until I visit Brother #2 in January to buy his gifts. I have some stuff for Brother #1.
