5 Things I did on Sept. 22nd 2 weeks ago

1. Drew a huge bunny on 36X48 paper, I then changed the bunny in tothe legs and torso of a huge giraffe. Then I added another sheet and made the giraffe’s neck and head and drew these awesome birds.
2. I kissed my boyfriend and watched TV with him and talked about human’s and our perception of light coming from above, even in visual images. I got sick and he took care of me. I threw up seven times (they don’t count as my 5 things.. or seven.. ahhh.)
3. I got to know my drawing professor better.
4. I read my new book, finished my old book and journaled.
5. I listen to Sea of Love by Cat Powers over and over again and relished in the feeling of being satiated.

So I've realized that I don't really sit and do this... and I should. 3 weeks ago

1. Arranged to see the doctor
2. Went to my appointment to talk about my stomach pain
3. Had a difficult talk with my partner
4. Voted for the democratic state primaries
5. Went to work and wrote down my repsonsibilities and reflected on my job.
6. Went to my meeting

You know that is alot, more than I give myself credit for. I feel as though I do nothing sometimes, heck I don’t even know how to reward myself for the good things I do.

Wednesday 3rd September '08 1 month ago

1. Walked and visualised my niece through her route to school, which she is walking for the first time tomorrow.

2. Left the house for the first time in 2.5 weeks – hurrah! Went to GP’s and as above, went out with my niece. Walking like the frail elderly, wearing not one item of clothing that matched another, and with BAD glasses on – my niece elicited looks of deep sympathy from passing Dulwichites who thought she was taking her care-in-the-community mother out for a walk, but I cared not – I just enjoyed the sight and feel of PAVEMENT!

3. Made tentative steps towards organising thoughts on the big decisions I need to make but am avoiding.

For Tuesday 2nd September '08 1 month ago

1. Taught my niece how to play black jack and shuffle cards; am feeling faintly subversive. I have also taught her useful stuff like how to cross roads, never to quit etc but this was spontaneous and fun – and some useful social currency for secondary school!

2. Stayed on straight and narrow diet-wise for 18th day post-surgery. Full range of vits and herbs, nasty cleansing cocktail thing, big veggie juice/berry smoothie combo, protein and veg. Am making an excellent recovery.

3. Found myself a holiday and committed to taking the time and spending this money on myself; is time to invest in my wellbeing.

That’s all today..

Sunday 31st August '08 1 month ago

1. Drank disgusting yet supremely healthful cleansing cocktail (wheatgrass juice, aloe vera, propolis and citricidal) for 10th day in a row in the spirit of health and healing.

2. Stayed calm in the face of maternal combativeness. Is counterproductive to my recovery and I am not engaging.

3. Tidied my room.

4. Ordered birthday present for my mum. If I manage to get Carmina Burana tickets as well will be a happy bunny.

5. Appear to be staying sane in the face of being in my own company for longer than I have ever been.

Loving Life ♥ working double time to reach her goals

I'm checking this off... 2 months ago

I think this list was a great idea to keep. It helped me to realize that on certain days when I felt like a lazy bum I did manage to get somethings accomplished. Which isn’t so bad after all! BUT…Being a mom of 4 who works and goes to school…I find that some times getting out of bed is an accomplishment by itself lol so…This comes off my list. I’m only doing what I always do.

lol Accomplishments - I guess!! :)) 3 months ago

I kinda neglected this & want to do it again:)

So today I ( went about lazily & didn’t really do nothing much )
1 actually printed out the summary to translate
(& got distracted by the net lol)
2 looked up a few things I had written on my calendar to look up (before I got sidetracked lol) – this opened up a new set of things to consider & research, but at least I did what was ‘on the list’ lol (& got 1 step closer – I hope!!)
3 shared some of the stuff I had found helpful in the past at a forum (about decluttering lol!!)
4 actually ‘did’ the lettuce… (washing it & all despite slight neckache when doing so, trying out a better posture lol!!)
5 signed up at a Tall dating site :) & found a few cool sites for tall women, so I’m already feeling better about my height!! YAY!! :)

Yesterday I swept the floor in the kitchen, hall, my bathroom, stairs… (quite an accomplishment with my previously intimidated back! – I was soo happy to be able to sweep the floor again!! & slightly hyper lol)
& cleaned my sister’s bedroom somewhat (she left to Australia without properly un-messing the mess!!)
I also started a ‘daily to-do diary again’ (!) – huge accomplishment already lol – I think it’s vital for keeping me on track!!
