    I went to a uni audition they told me if I went away and took dance classes and stretched everyday they would let me on next Year, So I NEED to do this it is very important for me to become allot more flexible and better an dancing if I want to do into musical theatre so yayy for stretches i’m also gonna take ballet, tap amd contemporaray dance classes

    been doing this the last few days and it does feel good, but normally i give up on things like this after a month of 2 so we’ll see how this goes. Hopefully i’ll stick to it.

    This one seemed so simple at the beginning, but it takes real physical effort rather than mere contemplation. I stretch on the days I take classes or go to the gym, but I never wake up and just stretch everything like I had intended. Time to redouble my efforts.

    i was thinking i couldnt stay on track and stretch everyday
    but this is so easy. any free time i have im stretching and its really showing in dance. for the first time in my life i can do the splits, and my arch looks great. i can improve more, but im really proud of myself for doing this much. :)

    I would like to stretch my body everyday. Even a day I do not run, I want to stretch my body. I think it is an important training for run.

    I’ve always had problems stretching, and now I’m getting to a high grade in tae kwon do, it’s really improtant I sort this out. I’ve got a couple of books and a yoga mat to stretch on. Just need to make it a daily thing.

    If I want to do anything with dancing and tumbling, I must stretch A LOT! I am also a runner, so stretching is a must!

    I’ve been very inflexible my entire life, and it’s only gotten worse as I get older. It’s mainly in my legs… When I try to stretch, the pain is so great that I just give up. It feels like my tendons and muscles strain to their full extent and then some, but I have barely reached halfway down my shins and I’m leaning back. I haven’t been able to straighten my legs out in front of me while keeping my back straight for yeeeeaars and I’m only 22. I was in a car accident and went through physical therapy and my therapist told me that I shouldn’t even try, that I had the flexibility of an average 80-year-old woman and that I may be looking forward to disability in my early years if it continued to get worse. What news!

    Recently, however, my boss, coworkers and I have all signed up at LA Fitness, which is right down the road from our vet clinic. I have been taking it slow, but stretching as much as I can everytime I go in (which is monday, wednesday and friday at lunch time and sometimes after work or on the weekends). I’m still struggling and it’s very painful everytime I do it, but I can reach my toes when stretching my right leg and I can nearly reach my toes on the left leg. It’s a good feeling, because I had become so hopeless over the situation (and embarassed about it) that I took the therapist’s advice and didn’t even try. Now I see that all it took was making a conscious decision to work on it and accepting that it is a work in progress and won’t happen over night. Now I just need to start stretching everyday, even if I don’t go to the gym that day.
