Give our son a haircut

Sparkyz 2 weeks ago

Amidst all of yesterday’s drama, we managed to get Isak a nice haircut. Up until yesterday, we’d been making do with home cuts, but we’d passed Sparkyz a number of times and he was really keen to go. It’s one of those salons for kids, with cars and motorcycles you can sit on, cheery décor, movies and toys at the end.

The stylist was very nice and Isak was very, very good. Afterward he choose a little toy truck to take home and we get to see our son’s face again. I could remember how to use the electric clippers, I have some around somewhere. I don’t have a cool motorcycle to sit on though. I think we’ll be back. And the 7th cut is free.

Trimming the muppet 4 months ago

And again the hair visor has been lifted. Now all three family members have been well trimmed.

Getting snippy 10 months ago

That was well overdue. He was very, very good for the shearing. What a cute little gentleman. Again, he seems to jump forward in age every time he gets a haircut.

It's a miracle! 15 months ago

He can see! Not that I don’t love the l’il ragamuffin look, but we don’t need him running into trees and such. Daddy did the honors this go around, and Isak now looks like a spiffy little gentleman. Certainly not a little boy that would ever get into trouble.

(for the record, Mommy and Daddy have also finally been scissored this week.)

Curls 15 months ago

Sean has lots of curls and I give him his haircuts, but he’s always moving around, so it’s pretty challenging. Good thing for the curls as they hide my mistakes.

None of my sons have liked when I gave them a haircut. They all prefer, and I do too, to take them in and have a pro do it.

Don't run with the scissors (but walk quickly) 15 months ago

Frankly, the whole family could stand to get haircuts again, but Isak is the only one starting to resemble Cousin It. No, not that bad, yet, but let’s take care of it before getting any more lovely daughter/cute little hippy comments. It would be nice if he could see clearly too.

He can see again! Trimming wiggly toddlers is tricky work. 3 cheers for Markus!

And so it grows... 20 months ago

Definitely time for this again. For all 3 of us actually. I feel like we’ve visited the playdough hair shop and someones squished the grow lever down for a loooong time.

Snip snip #3 2 years ago

Things have been getting hairy again, so out came the scissors. Daddy did the honours today, and considering the fact that Isak wasn’t exactly helpful (wiggling and hopping doesn’t make for straight snips), I think it looks quite smart. There’s our son!
