A very slow reading month as I spent the first 2 weeks doing NaNoWriMo & didn’t read any books at all. My reading slows down in the winter, as I like to read sat out in the sun & when we go away on holiday. 4 years ago

I realized I never posted my list before, but here it is so far…I’m 4 books away from this goal being completed…it helped a lot that I wasn’t working much at the beginning of this year, and we keep going to West Virginia, that’s a 5 1/2 hour car ride there and back…so that’s 11 hours of reading in one trip!

I’m having second thoughts about this goal. First, I don’t have the energy or time to track every single book I read. For example, I’ve read probably five or six romance novels since I last posted on this, but I just don’t note them because I forget or I don’t have computer access or whatever. Plus, I’m wondering how good it is to track the books I read…is it some sort of ego trip? 5 years ago

Because I don’t want to feel like a failure when I fail to complete this goal. It’s not that I’m not reading; it’s just that I’m reading denser volumes that I can’t really rush through in order to meet this goal. I will, however, continue to keep track of the books I read. 5 years ago
