fidgiegirl To be wed in fewer than two weeks

Sent the payments today! 17 months ago

There was a little bit of concern with the electronic transfers and the holiday, but I just made two different payments from two accounts and so it is all done! I checked worth doing, because in the long run it will be great not to be paying back the loan, but right now, my emergency fund is pretty dang low. Once my tax refund comes in, though, that’ll plump it back up.

Am waiting with bated breath 17 months ago

for my tax refund to come through by 2/20. Otherwise maybe I’ll put it on my CC to avoid paying an installment fee. The refund will for sure come through by 2/26. If the IRS had accepted education credits as part of the refund earlier, I wouldn’t be in this pickle. Of course, relying on it is never a good plan, anyway . . . but oh well. C’est la vie. Did I write that correctly?

Did my taxes 17 months ago

And so it looks like this goal will happen in the next three weeks! It will seriously deplete my emergency fund, but the good thing is that our contract is almost settled, so I will get back pay and (hope to God) a pay boost, so that will help replace the money. Also, I will have a little extra to help build it back up with my side job.

my new side job 17 months ago

I am kind of excited about this. My subscribers may be able to tell because I’ve been making entries in all the applicable goals ;) Anyway, I decided that the only acceptable uses for my new job money (it won’t even be that much, but it seems like it will be a lot) will be tuition and/or travel. I think with this, even if I have to pay one installment fee, I will make this goal.

getting really nervous 18 months ago

Completing this goal will really hinge on the amount of my tax return. That’s not a good feeling. I can approximate what it will be, but my income will have been higher last year, too. Fingers are crossed . . .

Applying for another 18 months ago

scholarship. This is my last chance at one. Hopefully it pans out. The deadline is Jan. 31 so I have a little time to revise my essay again, etc.

still on track 20 months ago

to do this. I just need to have a modicum of control throughout the holidays. And I need to make sure I also save enough to finish my last 4 credits to gain my additional license (this will be after the Master’s itself is completed).
