knit more

This goal of knitting more, as well as quilting more and scrapbooking more, are very ambiguous because I am the only one who can say if the “more” I’m doing it is enough. And the goal will never truely be finished, but I’m going to call this one finished. Yesterday I spent several hours knitting my blue baby blanket from yarn that someone gave me over four years ago, so I fell like I’ve completed a part of this goal.

I get frustrated or bored and throw it aside. When I stick to it for more than a couple days, I really get going. MUST KNIT MORE OFTEN!

I graduated in December and now I finally have some time to do the things I really love to do with my time. Can’t wait to knit some baby booties for my son’s teacher. I am thinking of a bright rainbow stripe- something unconventional, un-pastel.

This is a wool sweater, made with icelandic wool, the light kind.

Mine is blue grey and its got arms (the one in the pic does not). Im thinking og using light grey, dark grey, light and dark blue in the pattern.

Im almost done with the stomach.

I find I spend so much time looking at knitting online and not actually knitting. If I could get my but off the internet, I would have more time to knit and actually get projects done much sooner. Yes, I’ve also made the internet problem one of my 43 things!

It is a hooded sweater with stripes across the front. I’d love to finish it before it is too warm to wear it. There are also other projects I’m lusting over. I’ll post some of them later, maybe I’ll put up pics of my work if I ever get a digital camera.

My husband and I decided that we would exchange handmade gifts for Valentine’s Day, and I decided to extend this to my three beasties so now I’m working on a deadline.

And looking around that site and all the beautiful projects that are being worked on, I can’t help but think “I am not worthy”.
