at hammerstein ballroom in nyc. even from far away, it was a breathtaking experience.

I saw once at Austin City Limits this past Fall, and then again in November. SHE WAS AMAZING. She is just the most adorable person ever and she’s really something live. She can play multiple instruments at once and really connects with the crowd. I was so sad when her piece was over, but she’s definitely worth seeing more than once. You can tell she absolutely loves what she’s doing.

Even more, she’s the lady that inspired me to pick up the piano myself. :)

SHE WAS INCREDIBLE! It’s the best concert I’ve ever been to…you could here all 2500 people singing along to all of her songs. She is so humble to be so talented. I’m so glad I got have this experience…everyone should see her live!!!

Well, the rescheduled concert was pretty absolutely totally and marvelously fabulous …. But I’m a little ticked at her, because she seems to be a diva … The opening act came on, and played for about 20 minutes, but she didn’t come out for a good half an hour after he was done, letting every one sit there … We started getting nervous she wasn’t ever going to show up!

When she collapsed the first time, before the guy came and announced they were rescheduling, police came in and stood by the doors as crowd control so things wouldn’t get out of hand when they told us to leave. I kept thinking how if the police stepped in again, I was going to flip, and they’d need to have twice the number of coppers to control what was potentially a very very angry crowd.

Anyway, I haven’t passed my final judgement because she played a great show, and the encore especially contained all my favorite songs, but she made us wait for the encore, too … seems a bit arrogant to me, but whatevs. Perhaps in the beginning we had to wait half an hour after the opening act because they were having technical difficulties or something …

At the end, most everyone crowded down in the front and stood in the aisles and things, and sang right along with her, it was great! We had pretty good seats, but they were a little far back, so getting up close (3 or 4 rows from the stage) was awesome!

Anyhow, that’s my take. =) If I get the chance, I’ll go to another of her concerts, but I swear, I’ll never see another one if I sit for an hour before she comes on, again.

This is worth doing, however, it was amazing! Well worth $38.00!

she came onstage with a cup of tea and said she was sick and not to tell her parents because they’d get mad.
but
she sounded better than any recording i’ve ever heard, studio or live- and i have heard a lot.
the opening act was this guy who had a few pretty good songs, and a nice falsetto, but my favorite part of her show (it’s hard to pick one) was when he came back out with her for the second encore and they performed ‘hotel song’ with him beatboxing.
it was SO GOOD. i liked it better than the album recording.
so much talent.

ive tried twice and she’s canceled both her shows. she’s coming back feb 29th i might go but im not sure if it’ll be worth it cause she might cancel again!

She’s phenomenal. I cried. I especially loved “One More Time With Feeling” and “Real Love.”

I was so there, and I was SOOO close … and then … sobs
Now I have to wait till February!!! Aghh! I don’t want to wait!!

Okay, now I’m in a sticky situation abou the tickets, because well, long story short, one girl didn’t come the first time because she was grounded, so we let my other best friend come, and now I don’t think either one of them are coming because … i don’t actually know. Quite a confuzzlement.

She’s great in concert.

Her concert was postponed! She collapsed because of an ear infection a day or two before, so she rescheduled. Fortunately, I will still get to see her, but I have to wait until December 5th! AND my best friend can’t go with me anymore, which also makes me sad, but I suppose I’ll have to be patient and bring someone else…
