be a Jeopardy contestant

I didn’t win big, but I didn’t embarrass myself. I gave the guy who won a real run for his money. I ran a category. I came away with $2,000 for finishing second, which paid for a nice mini-vacation for me and my husband in southern California. And I had a ball!!

...(and failed it a few!) but never got called for the show. I haven’t given up, though! I did get on a short-lived game show called The Challengers a few years back. I got my butt kicked but went home with $1,400 and a set of Lee Nails-can’t complain about that! :>

I’ve auditioned for Jeopardy twice—and both times I got this close to making it…

The auditions are a simulation of the game itself, but the questions are all of “Double Jeopardy” difficulty. The experience gave me a new respect for the contestants who actually make it onto the show. Even the ones who appear to be utter dolts have been through a stiff process to get there!
