How to backpack in Europe"Really, really worth going."
How I did it: 1.Check out the map and decide on where I wanted to visit, in terms of specific cities, not countries. Lessons & tips: 1. Don't book hostels just because they are cheap. Do take note of their locations. Some of them are VERY far off the city centre. The money you save on the bookings will be spent on transport instead--not worth it!! |

After I finish grad school, my friend and I are going to backpack thru Italy. I would like to hear some suggestions for were to stay and what to see
Now that I have a husband and kids, I would love to see if we could do that together… What a great experience that would be!
With only the essentials on my back and a good friend to share it all with…
Living in a foreign country and having the opportunity to experience other cultures would be so rewarding. There would be so much to learn about myself and life being away from everything… just simple living, without any distractions.
I did this throughout July 2007. Amsterdam -> Berlin -> Prague -> Budapest -> Vienna -> Ljubljana -> Munich -> Venice -> Rimini -> Florence -> Rome. Fantastic time! Next time, I want to see Scandanavia. I’d also like to backpack Spain.
I’m going to backpack Europe on 3rd July – 3rd Aug…
We’re starting in The Netherlands and also visiting Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Italy. I’ve already done plenty of places in France and Spain. So excited! x
Okay screw the one country idea. I’m doing multiple countries. I think the best I can do while still holding a job is take 3 weeks vacation (the best part is, I will get PAID to be in Europe! and with direct deposit, I get a paycheck right away just adding to the amt. of money I have to use). I know with 3 weeks I won’t be able to even do a fraction of what I’d like to, but it’s better than nothing. It will be a small taste of Europe, and hopefully the first of more trips. I’m absolutely starting to save vacation days and work holidays to get comp time for this. People may think I’m dreaming now, but soon enough I’ll show them that I’m actually going to go!
Someday I’d like to backpack in Europe. Ideally, I want to go through multiple countries, but now that I have a real job, vacation time is a huge issue. So… I’d like to backpack around one country at least. Maybe England would be a good start.
Went backpacking thru Italy,Spain,France and Ireland almost ten years ago now and had the time of my life…Spent most of our nights in hostels, but also did some camping and B&B’s.
