learn drums

there’s an idea floating around that right now, since i make more money than the rest of my family, i should get a drumkit. i well should, it’d only be the practicality issue. my mam would hate it. i should do it anyways. i’d love nothing better to thrash about for a few hours to some really loud music when i’m unhappy.

“Play For The Music, Not For Your Self”

i want to learn how to play the drums. because it’s cool, really!!!

Similar to my guitar entry, I want to learn drums. I’ve always had a fascination with them.

My parents bought me a drumset used at a flea market. Its a First Act. I would love to play it. I tried messing with it freestyle but I sound horrid. I don’t even know if I have it put together right and I am missing the foot pedal thingy..

To whomever stumbles upon reading this-
Ever felt passionate about something…feel you could be REALLY good at it (as in have music training, played in orchestras, sang in a band, continue to surround myself by music) BUT find yourself meeting FLAKES who do NOT take you seriously and reach a point where it’s a case of OK…. ENOUGH…. I will take control of this situation and not sit around any longer patiently waiting for a contacted drum teacher to call me back, make plans for lessons etc.

I am done BITCHING and COMPLAINING about this and am VERY SERIOUSLY seeking a drum teacher who can help me reach my goals….!!

What’s your story?

oh man i’m completely self taught. i’ve been playing since i was really little and believe me it’s amazing. if you have it in your blood, then it’s for you. it’s just the feeling of being able to keep a beat while freely going wild with your hands and feet. with my guitar and bass, it’s slightly more difficult because you have to know the scales and it has to sound good, but with the drums, as long as you keep the beat, it sounds great.

one of my dreams was playing drums…and from a time ago i’m going playing drums on a class few times a week…so :)

I really want to play drums. :)
I’ve wanted to for quite a while now, and playing drums on rockband isn’t good enough for me haha.
Once I get a job this is going to be one of the things I want to save up for most. Really looking forward to that.

i want to be able to do some basic stuff on the drums even though my main focus is guitar
