I did this a couple months ago, and apparently forgot to make an entry for it here.
I wrote a post about it on my personal site:

I’ve got less than 8 weeks of training before my triathlon. I’m definitely progressing, but I still need to improve my swimming by a lot.
Current status:I plan on doing this on September 27.
Current status:Training:
Swimming – Laps twice per week
Bicycling – Commute to/from work every day (along with bus)
Running – One long run, one speed run per week
Other – Boxing/MMA twice per week, weight lifting five times per week
RiverKeeper feels like soon, yes, soon, he may type something for the proposal.
...since even having done a couple sprint distance tris. Now I’ve got extra years, two kids, graduate school hangover, a move, etc. It seems like such a stretch, but now the goal is written down. I’m also trying to be more ok with the fact that this will likely happen in the 10s – 2010, 2013, etc.!!
Best of luck to everyone.
I’ve completed a sprint and olympic distance tri but that was before I started having problems with my knee. I’d like to try the olympic distance again in spring/summer of 2010 but who knows if my knee will hold up…
I’ve completed 2 sprint triathlons but I’d really like to do a full length tri. In the long term sprint is a good sort of length though ;)
I did the Moss Park Triathlon in August this year. It was fun, but I’d like to do a bigger event with more participants and more spectators, something that’s more special and honors more the hard work it is completing a triathlon.
That’s right, 2007. I had thought I wouldn’t be ready until 2008, but that was just me being afraid. I’ll be racing a few 5k’s this fall, sprint tri’s through the spring and summer, and cap it all off with an oly in September 2007.
