I was really proud of myself to have got back in the yoga game… back down on the sticky mat… this afternoon.
As I moved through the poses, I tried to keep my neck and spine really straight; my back was a bit tender from my last yoga session.
Again, I felt fantastic afterwards… so cool! This is the way something becomes a habit.

As per my promise to myself, I started yoga last night. I did pretty well for most of the routine although it can be hard to watch the screen and do the position at the same time. I think the DVD is the right level for me (absolute beginner) which is great.
I felt weirdly wonderful afterwards… tingly and energized. I din’t want to talk… I just wanted to enjoy how WELL I felt.
Next yoga date with myself is Saturday… possibly earlier. I think it’s also time to be looking at a schedule of three times a week.

It’s funny… writing goals down really helps me to realize them. I am a pretty focussed person and am prepared to go through the tough stuff in order to meet my goals… but this yoga thing is totally kicking my butt.
I’m not sure why either. I have a DVD that I really like and a mat that makes it possible to exercise on a marble floor… I have everything I need except that I have not begun.
I could make excuses and say that our apartment is too little but I am not playing football… I am doing yoga! No excuses.
I must start this week. Tuesday is a pretty short day… I should be home by 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29th is yoga night. We’ll take it one day at a time.
