While searching for video on just knitting one sock, I came across an instructional site detailing how to knit two at the same time. I need to pick up the skills to make one before I foray into this. I do seem to have a vague idea of it in my head though.

I tried this last night and I’m having a little trouble, but I suspect it’s my own fault for joining the first sock before casting on for the next. Gotta rearrange some things to make this work. All I know is I refuse to make one sock at a time.

I learned about doing this while traveling. Talking to others about knitting is such an opener to conversation. It is a small world when it comes to knitting and crocheting.

I’ve made 2 socks on DPNs….but they aren’t a pair. So my new goal is to try out circular needles and do the socks together! Sounds complicated to me…

I want to avoid the second sock syndrome and this method seemed to make sense until I really tried it. I need help.

I did this just so I could try it, but I am going back to my 5 double pointed needles!

I recently learned how to do this, as well as knitting with the Magic Loop method – I don’t think I ever want to buy straight needles again.

Now I just have to do it!

... and while it is a nice way to avoid second socks syndrom, for a portable project I prefer my DPNs.

I’m about halfway into the leg of one sock on two circs. I’m not sure why it took me so long to get that far; working one sock on two circs is SO MUCH BETTER than using dpns. No more ladders! Faster progress! etc etc etc.
When I finish this pair, I will work at two socks on two circs.
...along with all of my OTHER knitting projects in process… heh.
