going to happen seeing as I’m happily living in Gauteng, miles from the ocean. I’m visiting Willow in October, she mentioned going to the beach with beer and sitting on the sand, drinking and burning in the sun. That sounds like fun. Maybe I’ll wet my feet in the icy Atlantic. The last time I set foot in the ocean was in 2000, on my last holiday to the South African coast. It has been 7 long years, but I hope to remedy this in March this year when I’ll be visiting my boyfriend in Cape Town while also attending 2 of my dearest friends’ wedding in Gordons Bay. I fear I might burst into tears when next I see the ocean; I have a passion for water, and have been dreaming about a return there since my last visit… 5 years ago

... I have here, but I live just next to the Baltic Sea. There’s less salt in the water than in the ocean, and I’m not unhappy about it.

Anyway, at the moment, it is much too cold to go swimming in the sea. I went to the beach one week ago and put my feet into the water, and it was so cold that I was scared that they would fall off!
But I hope that it’ll get warmer soon and I can go swimming in May for the first time this year. 6 years ago

i seemed to think it was a good idea last year, though i havent the foggiest why, I like HEAT and even with the daily temperatures hitting 34 degrees a couple of weeks ago, your not going to get in the cold clear green sea, i like living by it not on it or in it…silly goal, not like me at all, drop kicked off my list

With October has come milder weather, and much more sun. I’ve been swimming three times already this month, and I would go today if I didn’t have so much work!

I’m going to have to try and get in as much swimming as possible before my Giant Trip to lands of winter over December-January. 7 years ago

Well, it’s the middle of winter – which, in Sydney, is still a pretty mild season. But the water is icy! May have to postpone this goal until at least next month… 7 years ago

I was a fish, when I was a kid. Now, if it wasn’t for showers and rain, I’d be dry all the time. Last time I went in the ocean…Hawaii in 1999…before then? Can’t even remember! 8 years ago
