I would suggest that you read the book only if you have to.. I actually got nothing from this other than back problems from carrying it around

It took me a couple of tries, but I did finish it (including that essay on history that comprises the last 50 or so pages of the book). Reading the book, with its tremendous scope of humanity and rich characters, is quite an experience.

Worth finishing all the way through the Second Epilogue… although I say you’ve accomplished your goal (and done something very much worth doing) when you’ve finished the book through the First Epilogue.
