Is that nails on a chalk board or your voice I'm hearing? 9 months ago

I bought an over-priced water, skittles, peanut m&ms, and a quesodilla. Threw out the green skittles seeing as how I’m allergic. Did not like the first two bands. I was almost asleep in my chair the first band was so monotonous – so I found a chair in an alcove outside of the concert and people-watched; that was pretty cool – people-watching. I got approached by a few different guys and I got a lot of compliments from strangers. I had two tickets beside each-other but came alone. This cool chick was supposed to meet me but she must not have been able to get off work. Oh well. Right before Slipknot came out a cute dude approached me and I let him have the seat beside me. I’m glad I did because he totally rocked out with me. My neck is killing me from all the head-banging, my arm hurts from throwing it in the air, and my voice is almost completely gone and crackles when I talk because I was screaming so loud and so often. Pushed these two chicks out into the stairs by accident. My sincerest apologies. I wish I could have been in the pit – but I had a blast anyway. Sooo glad I went. Slipknot was awesome. They played all of my favorite songs and really kept the audience pumped. Would love to see them again.

Totally purchased the tickets. Now I just have to wait for the concert. It’s seats which is OK but I really wanted to rock in the pit. Oh well. Over twice the price for floor tickets. At least I get to see it.

it was so cool! :D
even when i lost my shoe and had to dive into the sea of people to get it back [don’t worry i did get it back :] ] got some bruses on my feet because of that
and someone was headbanging and bashed their head agains mine [it hurt] but he didn’t feel it apparently
i didn’t like the sweaty half naked men but my friends protected me well :]

i got squashed and crushed and some elbows in my ribs but it was worth it :]

a tip: bring clean clothing and spray with you cause you’ll smell [like other people’s sweat] after this especially if you can’t go home and shower afterwards :]

SO worth it 2 years ago

I wasn’t a huge fan before going, I just went with a friend. I had that metal elitist attitude of “they’re going to suck / they’re commercialized metal.” I’m glad I didn’t let that stop me, ‘cause Slipknot were amazing on stage. The crowd was insane. I spent my time between the front (right behind the bar) and the mosh. By the end of the show, crowd surfers had bruised up my face and pulled out my left contact, the chains had been ripped out of my pants (last time I ever wore bondage pants to a show), and I was missing a pantleg…
They told us where they’d be partying afterward, but I was 16 at the time, so I couldn’t go =/.
I’m still not a huge fan of Slipknot, but they’re wicked live XD.

I have seen Slipknot twice, and I have one thing to say. It’s totally worth it! They rock live! :D
