I put the bedroom on the south side where I can watch the sun come up behind the trees on a hill. It is very nice and a good way to start the day. Maybe you could move your bedroom to a room with an eastern view—might be worth it. 12 months ago

I’m still awake after a rather long night. I can just see the darkness starting to fade outside so I may well take this oppertunity and go and watch the sunrise. XD 20 months ago

Sunrises are so pretty in Florida with the palm trees silhouetted against the sky. This is enjoyable. 3 years ago

i love the sky…i love everything that’s on it…the clouds, the stars, the moon, the sun! whenever i go out, the first thing i do is look up at the sky and get a natural high. In my 25 years of existence, I haven’t really woke up to wait for the sun to shine. This is so, because I have never been a morning person. Now, I’m starting to realize, if I only I have made it a habit to wake up early in the morning, I could have done so much more in my life than what I have accomplished so far. I often complain that there are a lot of things for me to do with so little time. Now, I’m making more time to do things by starting my days early. I am going to be a morning person and try to see more sunrises. This will be my goal each day…to wake up before the sun. Good luck to me! 3 years ago

I’ve seen some amazing sunrises on the way to work during the past few months. After the beauty comes the blaring sun in your eyes….but it’s beautiful nonetheless. 4 years ago

Even though I have only seen one sunrise this week, I am going to consider this goal close to accomplished because I just got a job where…get this…I have to be there by 7am and it is a 40 minute drive. So yes…I will see many sunrises. Look at me…always seeing the glass half full, lol. 4 years ago

been seeing many of these since I went to College. Not even from staying up all hours. I go to bed just late enough that I can’t wake up for the sunrise. But that’s okay. I’ll see sunrises again. 5 years ago

Well, I hate to break it to y’all, but I kind of cheated on this one… I like to stay up all night until the sun rises the following morning. And although I’m having tons of fun doing whatever it is that keeps me up, I know that’s not quite what is meant by seeing more sunrises. However, if anyone would like some help staying up all night drinking, playing dominoes, or doing something else so you can see the sun rise, let me know. I’m always down for partyin! 5 years ago

i saw the sunrise this morning but im not counting it as one that i really enjoyed cuz i had to get up early for no really good reason and i really wanted to go back to bed.
i should see a nice one sunday morning though, if im still awake, cuz im going to prom saturday night (yes im in college…. i know) and afterprom goes till 5 or so, so im thinking by the time i get to my friends house where we’re crashing to sleep, perhaps itll be getting light? ok i might not be conscious enough to enjoy it then either , but its a nice thought. 5 years ago

I know that every time I see a sunrise I’m struck at how beautiful it is- it always feels so lazy when I sleep in til 12- but I love my bed. When I am up early though, and not working, I love being up and outside for sunrise- it don’t happen much though 6 years ago

I woke up and saw the orange/yellow glow coming in from my window this morning. I knew it would look wonderful but in the midst of my sleep I didn’t want to sit up to look outside. Some day soon I hope to get up and go to the beach before it comes up and take some awesome pictures. 6 years ago

I am not a morning person; however, I have enjoyed the quiet solitude of watching the sunrise over Georgian Bay. Nothing can beat that! Oh, to see more would be awesome! 6 years ago

What a non-specific first “thing” this is. :| But, seriosuly, this is the best. And I, weirdly enough, love early mornings… And, honestly, I have to wake up early usually anyway. I’ll just eat my breakfast standing by a window or something (as kitchen faces south.)
You know what? Now I want to edit this to add “at the beach/seaside” since THAT is actually the best. Plus somewhat more elusive. 6 years ago

In the winter, we rarely see the sun come up. We rarely see the sun go down.
In summer, the sun is up too early for me, so I see it set but not rise. In total, more sunsets that sunrises…
That’s kind of unbalanced…. 7 years ago
