April will turn fifteen in December. 8D
I’ve recently discovered that my grade level in Math is… embarrassing. I hate math, but I need to get better at it. :/ One thing I find difficult is long division. =.= As many times as I’ve been taught it, I can’t remember it.
I’m proud, however, that my grade level in reading/spelling is 9 – 12 despite the fact I’m in 8th grade and have missed a lot of school. O-O

Another test – this time I got 9-. Lots, lots of completely idiotic mistakes. Totally embarrassing. I hope this won’t ruin my exam…

Another test, another 100% – except for some stupid mistakes, but the teacher already knows that I tend to make them. Probably going to try to do the homework my private teacher gave me and see how ‘talented’ in Math.

Today was my first lesson with my private teacher. I was so stressed out I forgot how to divide fractions… It was all good when I calmed down a bit xD

Wtf I’m doing great O,o the teacher complimented me on solving problems that we’ll get on the exams [and, to tell you the truth, I found them pretty easy…]. WTF. I’m missing the point here. Why the hell am I in the lower level then?
Who cares. This means I’m bound to pass the exams. And I’ve noticed a bit of a ‘competition’ between me and one of the other students here… OMG xDD

What the… Today I did great! I even solved the problems that were given for upper-level students. I talked to my classmates about the upper-level teacher and they agreed that she’s horrible. They don’t even have books yet – YET THEY HAVE TESTS. OMG O,o
Private lessons start on Monday… I’m so excited! Now history and languages are my least-favorite subjects. Too bad I had to give up Physics and Chemistry – but that’s something I can explore myself, don’t you think?

I had such a stupid teacher… Horrible, to say the least. That’s why I had to go to the lower-level class [she didn’t want to let me go, though]. I just couldn’t take it. I felt so stupid… Couldn’t understand a thing – and I was always so good at this!
My IT teacher couldn’t believe her ears, because I’m great at programming, my mom was shocked, the psychologist that did an IQ test told me that I could do it if I wanted, and overall… nobody could believe it – but I that teacher totally destroyed all the self-esteem I had. I was desperate.
Well, but after being a straigt-A student in the lower-level class without even studying, I decided to get a better teacher and prepare for the exams myself. I know I can pass – with flying colors, if I wanted. Only when I lost math did I realize how much I love it. I know that if I’ll go back to the upper-level class, I’ll fail again, because even my mother’s colleagues know that teacher [the math teacher that my mother works with always gets calls from students that want private lessons – because they have the same teacher as I did!].
Well… Here goes. One man’s journey to math knowledge xD

Dennis is still studying Calculus and is engaged!
Well, I never did find out my final test grade but I did end up getting an A in the class.
But the question is…am I better at Math? I still have one more Math elective to take in college, possibly linear algebra.

100% on the first test.
100% on the second test.
XXX% on the third?
My final grade? Don’t know yet, but most likely an A.
