learn to braid my hair

I need to learn to braid my hair because in 3 weeks I’ll begin my military service, and girls should keep their hair braided in the army. I already managed to make myself a braid but I want to make it better so that it really stays.

i’ve been braiding my hair because it is so damned long and annoying. the braids are sloppy, and sometimes look really messed up, but they’re braids. luckily, tomorrow i’m getting it all chopped off! so no more braiding. i am marking this goal as COMPLETED because i can do functional braids. not exceptionally sleek braids, but messy pretty braids. can’t wait to get my hair cut! then i can do french braiding on my shorter hair and hopefully it will be easier. i will ask for help. maybe my boyfriend’s mother knows how to do it?! i’ll ask

I am in the process of going natural and in order to not put heat on my hair, I had my friend do my first set of kinky twists. The price of paying her, hair, and other things set me back a lot of money, so I thought it was necessary to teach myself if this was a hairstyle that I would wear continuously.

Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve been envious of those hair-dorks who could do a million things to their hair. My hair is below shoulder length, fine, and wavy. One of the things standing in my way for braiding it, is that I don’t want to have to put hairspray, gel, etc.
