lower left is finished — 2 weeks ago
My jaw is still pretty sore but my crowns look beautiful. I have my new retainers also. I am getting so close… I can’t wait to mark this off my list(I think I say that alot!)

Worth doing!
has been on my list since I first started using 43things and it feels like a huge accomplishment to mark it DONE! My mouth is happy & healthy (& still quite a bit numb). Yay me!
I have some work to do on both the upper and lower left. I had the right side done last year(thank God.) I am having the lower left done on Thursday and the upper left some time this summer. I had the molds taken for the retainers and needless to say I am so glad to be working on this. I have hated having this looming over my head and I don’t know why I haven’t made it more of a priority. W. is so careless with his teeth that I think that is making me more obsessed with mine.
I have an appointment for a cleaning and getting new retainers! I still have to get some fillings replaced and a crown but at least I am back in the game. I was so unhappy with the last dentist I went to and I couldn’t stand my orthodontist so I just avoided the situation for awhile. Now, I am just ready to have it all fixed and maintain.
I need 3 wisdom teeth pulled and a cavity filled, but hate dentists, so I’ve been putting up with the pain my teeth have been causing me. I just need to suck it up and go.
OMG did that hurt.. but $3,000 later my teeth are almost done…
1/31 the will be complete. 2 crowns!!!! And a filling… all done.. Now i need dental insurance
approved for work.. pending cause i dont want the debt
Worth doing!
Yesterday, my dentist said it was my last time seeing her. I’m so proud of me!! I spent years avoiding dentist (with no reason) and now I have a paper to comprove that I treat my teeth very well :D I only have to come back there in April to review and maintain. And the teeth goals to next year are get braces and floss more often.
Claudia has 9 days left of work
Worth doing!
I’m crossing this off because my major hurdle was actual going to the dentist (after over 10 years!) and finding out what I needed done. My first appointment was in May and since then I’ve been back probably 6 times. .
I found out I had some gum problems, two tiny cavities, and a freak little tooth that needs pulling out. Nowhere near as bad as I thought. I had 4 deep cleanings done in a month and just went back last Friday for my 3 months check up (the gum problems were an issue) and everything is healing up nicely and my pockets have improved so much.
After years of worry and embarassment my teeth feel great! I’m glad I was able to find a caring practice and I couldn’t ask for a better hygenist. She’s awesome.

mmbera asks,
“Hi! I used to be known for a pretty smile. I need dental work now badly. I am the bravest dental patient in the world! Does anyone know any "dental research trials" in So. CA? I'll make those researchers proud, if they would only work on my teeth.”
