I currently have 8% of my target goal in my savings account. I intend to reach my goal by June 1, 2009.

I am continuing to save 10% from each paycheck. I want to have at least 6 months living/business expenses in savings. Once that is saved, I will begin small investments.

I put another 10% away today from 2 paychecks.

I put 10% of my regular paycheck in my savings account today.
I also have a part-time job for 2-3 nights per week. I currently save $10 of this paycheck weekly. My goal is for all the income from this part-time job to go into my savings account on a weekly basis. I could save $300 a month that way.

It’s not easy to increase my savings when my clients don’t pay me in a timely manner. It’s hard being self-employed sometimes. Frustrating!

My goal is to save 6 months of living expenses. I am about 90% self-employed, so it is very important to have security. I have been through rough financial times, and I don’t want to live through it again.
