How to visit a naturist resort
How I did it: I visited Pacific Sun Friends in April 1991 with two friends I had at the time, one was a nurse and the other was an artist. As I had been to nude swims and beaches prior to that, I did not have any problems going around nude. I have since paid numerous return visits to the venue.
Lessons & tips: Before deciding to visit a naturist resort or wondering if they exist in your area, do a search for them on the internet or in your naturist magazines which you can get at most bookshops or newsagents. Find out if they cater to people in your status and position, then email or ring them to organise a day to meet them. Some places are quite liberal and easy going, others are more conservative and family orientated. All naturist resorts and clubs in America are required to do mandatory security checks with new members to be sure they are not accidentally admitting state offenders who are there not to participate or make friends, but to just cause trouble. If you are a single male and going on your own, play it really cool with your first few visits. Don't be too over-friendly with families or female members as you will be seen as a creep. Let them become familiar with you before they decide as to whether they want you as a friend or not. If you are a single female and going alone, make sure that you be assertive to anybody who might take advantage of your situation. If anybody bothers you or invades your personal space, be firm but polite with them. For families: ask the club or resort if other families are going to be there on the day, because your kids will quickly get bored if there aren't any other kids their own age they can mix with.
