Well it started this morning and so far it’s going good. I have a few last minute doubts but I plan on pushing through them.
How I did it: I've always wanted to go scuba diving but never did it because I did not know how to swim. In 2007 my boyfriend and I booked a trip to Cozumel and the Yucatan. While doing our research we found out that Cozumel was one of the best places to go scuba diving. So we thought why not get certified and go diving at Cozumel. So we just decided to sign up at Sports Challet to get certified. Since I'm not a swimmer I went 3-4 times a week at my gy… Read how I did it…

Living in the Bahamas I figure I owe it to myself. I called the local dive shop yesterday to get some details and see how I can work it around my schedule. For me it should take two weekends.
I signed myself and my girlfriend up today for scuba lessons, for the end of July! By mid August we’ll be certified for Open Water Diving. One step closer to living the dream…......
I think this goal is connected to my goal of travelling to Cambodia. When we’re over there, I really want to learn how to dive. I don’t think that I want to learn it in Norway, the sea is way to dark for my taste, that creeps me out.

I’ve gone diving in Monterey and Hawaii—not a lot of diving. Scuba diving is one of those things that is sort of like extra-terrestrial exploration. It is just different from being in the air, on land or in the sky.
I find it easier and more fun to simply snorkel. Then you can’t run out of air, or go too deep and get nitrogen sick.
Diving s one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done. I started diving when I was 15 and have been diving every since. Get quality training and keep your skills current.
Dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive, dive!
On my “life goal” list, got certified open water. It’s not scary, it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. As soon as you are under the water, all the commotion on the surface ceases, and you are in a new world. Got to swim around some sea turtles – go do it!
This weekend I began the process to become certified. Between lecture and pool time it took up the whole weekend but it was very enjoyable.
