I used to say hi to strangers often whether on the sidewalk or at a park. For some reason I don’t do that anymore. But I think it makes people feel a little more at ease with strangers which is a good thing in these tense times we live in.
With that in mind I will make an effort from here on out to say “hi” with a friendly smile to strangers. It may not happen daily because I may not run into strangers daily, but often as possible!

It makes me feel happy! :)
And who knows, you may meet somebody you never could have met. Try to say more than ‘hi’ to the cute strangers. :)

DocD is working on time travel.
I say hi to at least 60 strangers every day (although that “hi” is often aloha, ohayo gozaimasu, howdy, how’s it, etc.).

Doing this makes me feel so good and warm inside. I smile for about 10 minutes later.
Just last Thursday, I acknowledged three passer-bys within a 30 minute walk. You can bet that I had huge smile on my face.
It’s confusing though, because sometimes you don’t know who you want to say hi to. You don’t want it to be all “forced” or whatever =/
