Part Six - completed :) 23 months ago

Yep, methinks i’ll stop Vikram Seth’s read, beautiful as it’s been, for now.

Since am about a third into the read, will just pick up from where i’ve stopped the next time i get a breather.

Wishes all, & Thanks *bookish, for the inspiring cheers of late! ;)

Part Five - completed :) 23 months ago

    Starting Part Six. Yep. :)

Part Four - completed :) 23 months ago

In truth, finished Part Four yest. :)
    Part Five underway.

Just realised that this recording of phase-by-phase reading could sound a ‘lil zany, but am glad it helps remind meself of my original goal: to read whilst enjoying the journey, and not with any form of compulsion to finish it, given the length of this novel, of course.

Don’t intend to finish the read in 1 sitting, but am looking forward to what lies ahead, everytime i pick up the book. :)

Part Three - completed :) 23 months ago

    Part Four underway. ;)
Thank you, dearest Sowmya (whenever you do read this) ~ for sharing that good-humoured ‘lil pun (on dear V. Seth, ahem ;) ) & the lovely chat i’ll always treasure.

Bestest wishes always, dearest Guru. Hmm, why do i feel so engulfed now?

p.s. In one’s lowest moments that ‘tis life offers, one finds that sweet reads help keep the pain at bay..

Just finished Part One! :) 23 months ago

Okay, finished Part One – in just 2 days or so.. Wowiee! :)
In truth, it’s only about 75 pages, but i guess it’s more about being able to steal a ‘lil time aside from the short respite away from pressing work affairs, that makes it possible.

Wishes all (& rubbing her bibliophilic hands with glee),

Phase I begins.. 23 months ago

Just figured out a workable strategy for myself: Am gonna handle this classic – one Part at a time (methinks Part One covers around 75 pages or so)..

This way, i’ll still be able to relish the novel slowly, without having to start the novel anew everytime i pick it up. Hmm, let’s see. :)

if truth be told 2 years ago

i feel a bit like i’m cheating, on this one…

since i read this book such a long time ago (1993)

but then, i saw it on Minerva b’s list, and just had to mark it “done”!

    :)
