Go some place sunny during the dark time of the year

I had too much surf pounding around my ankles, and the sunscreen was basically blasted off, so I burnt my ankles a bit.

Body surfing, sea kayaking, sun bathing, hiking, just being outside in shorts – this was really nice.

Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 79F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

I got so I absolutely refused to spend an entire March in Chicago…it is so gloomy and you think that spring will never, ever come.

God help me, it’s only money.

Five nights at the NH Krystal Puerto Vallarta.

$800 – $850 pp to Puerto Vallarta for 5 days over Xmas.

I don’t know if it’s Mexico or Costa Rica, which are two existing goals. Or maybe it’s Hawaii. But dang, I do not want to be in Seattle again around Xmas. Ride my bike to work in the dark. Raining and gloomy all day. Ride my bike home in the dark. Plus, Xmas is so unpleasant.

Maybe I’ll send my kids to Israel and David and I will take off to the tropics.
