deliver my baby using the lamaze method

i thought i wouldn’t be able to, but i was! mucho gracias to my lamaze teacher who stayed with me from labor to delivery and to my doctor, who never gave up on me. other doctors would probably have suggested i undergo c-section after 3 hours of pushing, and i’m so glad mine was so nice and kind. she even massaged my back when i was having back labor.

those wondering if learning lamaze is worth it, it is! it doesn’t mean you don’t get anesthesia or any drugs when you’re giving birth. it just means you’re more equipped to deal with the emotional challenges that comes with the experience of childbirth because you know what’s going to happen.

i’m down to my last childbirth class session. we’ve already covered the relaxation and breathing techniques. i think what’s left is just the post-partum and breastfeeding stuff. i will have to practice regularly though, because i’ve been slack in that area.
