Two new guitars!

I sold my old ones two years ago and I kinda miss playing electric. Then all of a sudden I’m getting two electric guitars from my girlfriend’s dad. He surely is very generous! I’ll pick up one of them in April this year when we’ll go to Bristol to see my girlfriend’s family.
Maybe now I can finally progress with this goal.

I teach myself, I gave up about 2 months ago but started again because I feel so passionate about music. Learning 2 songs at the moment, fingers crossed :)
100 Greatest

I bought a book this weekend, VH1’s 100 Greatest Rock Songs for easy guitar. It’s pretty cool, or anyway the song list is rockin’. The melodies are all tabbed out, which is helpful when there’s a neat opening riff, like in “Layla” or “La Bamba.” “Hey Jude” is my favorite to play so far, followed by “Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay.” I learned B7!

Solos and improvisations

Basically, this one for me just means that I want to be able to play solos and improvisations on the guitar. Play along with solos in songs and such. It has always been a dream.
Maybe someday I will fulfill it?
i really want to play in a band

well, i volunteered and actually auditioned for the school’s choir and they accepted me. we have practices every tuesday and wednesday. i play church songs and i am learnin new church songs. i had a band before and still want to have one. this time, i want a more intimate group and i want to be more confident when it comes to dealing or relating with my bandmates. my plan is to study more about guitar so that i will have no confusion when i finally have bandmates. this coming december, i will be playing with my bestfriend and bandmate, and with 2 other girls (my bestfriend’s friends). i still don’t know what i will be playing, either the bass or the lead. anyway, my bestfriend and i have listed the songs. we will be having our practices at the studio. the two others haven’t been contacted yet although my bestfriend and the two others have already played in one of their friend’s debut. i am looking forward for this day for this will be the day that i will be playing again in a band. i really love music and one of my dreams is to have a band.
