Worth doing!

I live in a country that people from all over the world visit to SCUBA and its only now that I get certified. Better late than never I say. It’s now my new favorite hobby. It’s a different world and a different feeling and it’s very addicting! You also get to meet a lot of great people on the dive. I’ve got my next one scheduled in a week. I can’t wait!

totally another worldly experience and I highly recommend it. I wish I were more proactive in seeking these adventures.

things moved surprisingly fast once i signed up for it. did it over a week with a PADI operator – 2 days of theory, 2 pool sessions, and 2 days of open water (of 5 dives in pulau dayang).

didn’t think too much of it when i signed up. but was a bit scared after the pool sessions – so many things can go wrong!

but now, i wish the open water cud’ve been longer tho’! dayang is certainly beautiful… i can’t wait for the next dive alrd. prob bali =)

I’ve already taken the lessons and am just scheduling the open water dive which should be some time this week. At least things are finally moving after a long hiatus. Can’t wait to see the beauty that the ocean stores.

learn to dive NOW  — 1 year ago

Worth doing!

I learnt to dive in 1997 while on a holiday with my family. I was 18 and thought it would be cool. It was! Every year we went away on holiday I found somewhere to dive. Eventually the family holiday destination was chosen by where I wanted to dive. In May 2003 my life changed when I learnt to dive in the UK. A month later I quit a well paying job in IT Recruitment (which was rubbish anyway) and got a job at a dive centre in Leeds. I now own and run my own dive centre in Leeds and travel all over the world to exotic destinations to find wrecks or underwater cave systems meeting amazing people and diving the most exotic places, most of which I can’t even spell. You gotta try diving, you never know it may change your life too.
