Reminisce about the first time I heard the word "penultimate"

I can’t remember…

..I remember thinking the word “anxiety” was pronounced “ang-shitty”. I used to read out loud, and I would say things like “Elizabeth was having difficulty containing her ang-shitty. John was overwhelmed by ang-shitty.” I saw the movie by Mel Brooks, “High Ang-shitty”.

I’ve thought and thought and thought some more, and I can’t remember the first time I heard the word “penultimate.” :(

It wasn’t a wasted exercise, though, because thinking about this made me remember the first time I heard someone mispronounce “plethora.” He and I were instructors teaching a class about how to use an accounting system. He said, “ple-THOR-a.” I can’t remember what he describing, though.
